                                  Solving water problem in Godavari Basin

There is acute water shortage in Godavari basin particularly above Jayakwadi Dam, Majalgaon Dam etc. at the same time 220 TMC water is goes to sea in Kokan . Parli thermal power station having capacity of 1150 MW is completely shut down since 8/7/2015 only for want of 1.5 TMC water . The investment on this thermal station is about 8000 cr. This station can not restarted up to July 2016.One year loss is 800 cr. minimum. but if we plan systematically then we can solve this crises we easily by linking Vaitran river to Godavari .We can get up to 16 TMC by gravity i.e. without lifting.
